  • Newly diagnosed

Hello, I was just diagnosed a week ago. I have visited the site a few times before because my urogynocologist had mentioned IC as a possibility. I was curious, but didn't really expect to be diagnosed. I have been fighting pelvic pain for over a year now, but blamed it all on adenomyosis and pelvic organ prolapse. I had a hysterectomy with posterior repairs a week ago. My doc scheduled a hydrodistention w/cystoscopy at the same time since I was already going to be under. I now have two sheets of pics showing all of these angry red spots all over my bladder . I honestly thought all of my pain was from my gyno issues. Unfortunately not. My daughter has had wetting issues for years, and the doc thinks she may have the same thing, so....I have joined, and am doing lots of research to see what we can do to help ourselves. The dietary changes are going to be difficult, but I am glad this site is here to help!

Glad you were able to find this site & forum and get diagnosed. I got those same red spotted pictures too. Hopefully, it turns out that your daughter doesn't have it.
