Hi everyone! I am finally getting used to this diet. I do however miss my tea and coffee. But I don't really mind the mint tea. I make it iced during the day so I feel like I have iced tea. I also am having some hot coco made with carob power and some vanilla extract and alittle natural sweetner, I put alittle whipped creme on top. Not bad at all. Made some brownies with carob powder . I have to think positive, for that is the only way I can be happy and get through a day. I went off my Macrobid for a couple of days to see what happens and so far I'm okay. Praying for all of you and hoping that tomorrow is a better day.

I truly believe in the IC diet.. I was on it for 5 years.. I have just now started eating and drinking things that are not on the diet.. Was just testing the water to say.. And I have done ok.. But it is still in the back of my mind if I should be adding things back.. As I added things back I started realizing that I did not have the taste for them anymore.. Like Mayo Ugh I use to love it. Now It just taste funny to me.. I tried some Ketchup and the same thing.. I think my taste buds have changed.. So you will get use to not having those things also..Hugs

I really like your attitude about diet --- taking it on as a challenge is wonderful. I know sticking with my IC diet is the one thing that helps me most.

Good message Ronda!
Thank you for sharing that you can eat more now than you used to be able to. To me, that confirms that we can heal our bladder to an extent. Maybe we can't eliminate IC entirely, but if we can get to a point where we can include a few more foods (I can eat bananas, small amounts of tomatoes, and chocolate milk for example) we can increase our nutrition overall, even if it is for a short time.
