I was diagnosed when my urologist finally did a cystoscopy. Finally after a year of x-rays, mri, pelvic scans. He gave me samples of a new drug URIBEL. The good news is it works wonders haven't felt this well in months. The bad news is it is over $250 a month and my insurance doesn't cover it! I just joined the support forum and don't see any one else has tried URIBEL.

Uribel is very similar to prosed, urelle and some others in the same family of medication. A lot of ICer's do use those meds with success. Unfortunately they are usually expensive. Have you spoken with your insurance about an exception for coverage in that it is a newer medication. Or you might ask if they cover one of the other's that have many of the same ingredients. I am glad it is helping you. I hope you are able to get insurance coverage for the medication too.

      Uribel

Thanks for the information . My urologist is sending a fax to my insurance to see if they will make an exception and cover this. I am glad to find out from you that there are other meds with the same ingredients.. I will ask my urologist about them.
