Are there any IC treatment drugs that are safe to take during pregnancy? I'm to be married next July, and after that we may consider having a baby. I already have two girls and he has one son, but we would like to share a child together. But I fear that this IC will not let me do so. Thank You, Shannon

There are many controversies about meds and pregnancies. Most meds are referred to a "class b" drug and so on. Ask your uro or gyn at your next visit to get their opinions.

There aren't any IC medications that are 100% risk free to the baby and many doctors will recommend trying to stay med-free. However, if you NEED medications, talk to your doctor about the benefits vs. the risks and work out the best approach for you and the baby.

      Congratulations on your upcoming marriage!
