Pregnant Wife

Hello, my wife suffers from IC and is 4 months pregnant. She has been experiencing a flare up for about the last 4 weeks. She is in lots of pain. Last week, her ob doctor gave her permission to start taking her elmiron medicine 3 times a day. (She stop taking them in November..right before she got pregnant). So far it hasn't seemed to help. Is there anyone out there that has been in this situation before? She keeps hoping that the pain will go away but is fearful she will have to feel like this for the next 5 months. I sure hope not!!

First, I would like to say how nice it is that you're here helping your wife.
I have not been in your wife's situation but if you go down to the forum jump at the bottom of the page, and scroll way down, there's a thread dedicated to IC and pregnancy. Maybe you can find some information there.
I'm sure you'll get lots of replies from women who HAVE been, or are where you wife is. In the meantime, I hope she feels a little better. I know just having someone so supportive is very theraputic.
