  • Pregnant and very worried!!

    Hello,

Two weeks ago 4/13/11 I had my first hydro/cysto done and I had a pregnancy urine test before the surgery and it was negative. On Tuesday 4/26/11 I had three positive at home test. So yay I'm prego!! BUT...I was on antibiotics and pain meds from the surgery and I'm very worried that it will harm the baby. Also my doc seems concerned because my HGC level was 1557 which usually indicates 6 weeks. I had an ultra sound and the tech said that it's so little in there that she couldn't even see a heartbeat yet. The lab results also said my standard range was <.3- and flagged H. I went for more blood work today but won't receive the results until Monday but I'm soo worried. Can anyone please tell me what the lab results look like. The tech did mention that it does look like the pregnancy is forming in my uterus so does that defintely rule out an eptopic pregnancy?? Would the results be higher because of the IC or the meds from the surgery?? I know this is an IC website but you all are the only ones I have to turn too until I wait and wait and wait! Thank you!!

    Congratulations!

I don't know if surgery or meds would be making your HCG higher than normal... but I do know one thing that could...

I dont think surgery or meds would make it higher, but I can say you are not having ectopic, cuz you would be in serious pain and I doubt it would have lasted as much as 6 weeks w/out you losing already or being in serious doubled over pain. Hcg can be different for every pregnancy though. Congrats and good luck I think all will be well. Keep us posted

      I was on...
Loestrin 24(to prevent period induced flares)
Elmiron since Feb.'07 for a year and half
Atenolol for Migraines(caused by elmiron) since June '07(Had to have the amount doubled)
      Tried Prevacid didn't work.
Tried Axert for migraines didn't work.
Tried Frova for migraines made worse.
      Atarax Feb.'07-Feb'08
Used to take IBS meds of all kinds, now I use Yerba Mate guayaki drinks, eating lots of fiber and flax seed, and taking probiotics and added magnesium. My probiotics help w/ flares too.

Now for the occasional flare related to stress, I take probiotic eleven and marshmallow root and it will make it stop and Im fine again. Otherwise I dont have many problems w/ my severe IC like I used to.Thank God!

5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
