Im pregnant with I.C and noticed there is tons of posts related to pregnancy and I cant find them. Im in severe pain and need advice. What to expect during labor and delivery etc... Please someone help
So sorry to hear you are going through such a rough time. I had my little boy 7 months ago. I am still nursing, so my treatment options are still limited, as they were during pregnancy.
I was mostly lucky with pain, but had serious issues emptying the bladder and was double, triple even quadrouple, voiding especially before I went out the door. While your treatment options are limited, you still have some so definitely talk to your urologist and OBGYN about what they can do for you. Just a warning, some Doctors do not feel comfortable even discussing the issue, let alone making recommendations. So make sure you find a Doctor willing to work with you.
Let me know what I can do to help. I totally understand how difficult it is to be going through this. Hang tight and overall, just know as your pregnancy progresses you may wake up tomorrow feeling much better. The hormones pregnancy gives as well as post nursing are AMAZING!
Here are some helpful links to help you understand pregnancy and lactation risk categories and what they mean so you can make well informed educated decisions when working with your Doctors
Dr Hale is known for his tremendous dedication to researching these topics. He has at least one book dedicated to this as well. I think it is listed in the site above. Which is very helpful as many people want to stay far away for fear of lawsuit. Remember, nothing is fail proof and a lot of the burden in the decision making will rest on your shoulders. Only you and your Doctor can decide whether the risks outweigh the benefits.
Hang tight. I wish you a very healthy and happy and wonderful pregnancy. I was never so healthy as I was when I was pregnant and nursing. The same still May go for you so don't be discouraged! How far along are you? Warmest regards!!

Status: Diagnosed October 2006 via cystoscopy with hydrodistention. Max anesthetized bladder capacity only 250 cc's. Mast cells and pinpoint bleeding found.
Remission for me means less pain for more days than not. Frequency is inevitable with a bladder this tiny! That is ok though. The difference between when I was diagnosed and now, is that I have embraced that fact. Me and the loo, we are one.

First click on the name of the forum, in this instance, "I'm Pregnant" --- then scroll down until you see the little box that says 1 month or other length of time. Set the time limit there so you will see the older posts.
