Colten my 2 year old got a tricycle Monday and he keeps asking to ride his "popscicle". Well tonight he got stuck on some gravel and I grabbed the handle bars tohelp him and he yell and told me to get my hands of his "candy bars". I just about lost it, it was so funny at the time.

that is too funny. Griffin is 2 1/2 and I love the funny things that he says. Anytime you ask Griffin why he did something he says "I'm not sure." He started telling knock knock jokes too which go something like "knock knock, who's there, apple, apple who, apple in refridgerator" and then he starts laughing.

I have been diagnoised for 6 1/2 years now. I have taken a long break from the ICN but really miss helping out my fellow IC patients and want to get back into posting.
1st hydro 4/07 showed no visible signs of IC but tons of mast cells in all my biopsy samples which did prove IC.
2nd hydro 4/13/09 showed dark purple glomerulations and I had a capacity of 450 cc's. This hydro proved that my IC had progressed.
I have tried every oral medication as well as rescue instills and DMSO.
I have been lucky enough to see Dr Hanno, the top IC specialist in PA who has told me due to the fact that I have not responded to any "standard" treatments that I have a severe, end stage case of IC with a horrible quality of life (didn't have to tell me that last part!)

Kids are just to cute... I remb when we were in Tenn and
Aaron was about 2 and he could not say his S's he used the F sound instead, Well my mom had him and took him inside this candy store.. I walked in and seen she had bought him this HUGE sucker. I was like.. Mom why did you do that, she said try to take it away from him, so I acted like I was going to take it from him and he started SCREAMING... "Give me my "f" ucker back .. I gave it to him quick... My mom said she was so embarrassed, but poor baby he just coundnt say his S's...lolHugs

Other Meds: Levlite- Continious Birtcontrol, Micardis-40mg for High Blood Pressure
Meds I have Tried:
Topamax,Tofranil, Elmiron, Atarax, Cymbalta, Elavil, Enablex, Detral La, Prydium.
Lexapro< Bad reaction to this med!
Intstills, could not continue them due to some kind of reaction after 3rd instill. Tasted the lidocaine in my mouth, tongue and lips went numb then went into what seemed like a panic attack. Shaking, racing heart, tingling face/head, blood pressure shot up..
Dx With IC in Nov 2006 with Hydro/Cysto
Hydro/Cysto Caused Bladder to Rupture.
Other Dxs-Vulvodynia,Fibro, Endo, IBS, HPV, Migraines, Spastic Colon, Mild Dysplasia.

Thanks for sharing your kid stories. My boys are 20 and 23 now so it's fun to hear what kids say.
When my younger son was about 3, we were in the process of moving. My younger son kept getting in the boxes and had already torn a few of them up that I had taped and ready to pack. My hubby told him that he better get out of the box now or he was going to get him out himself and spank him in the process. I never saw Ty move so fast. When he got out he kept looking at my hubby then at himself. He said "dad, where is my process?". We just died laughing. Of course the threat didn't last for long and he was back in my boxes. Another time we were packing to fly to my grandparents in Pennsylvania for their 50th anniversary. Ty packed his own bag (Ninja Turtles) to carry on the plane. I had to keep going through the bag since he was putting toys in that made too much noise. I knew my fellow passengers would not appreciate it. When we were going through the metal detectors, all of the sudden the security came up fast. Tyler had snuck in a cap gun that used to be my husband's so it was that real metal. We got lots of attention!Comment

This is such a great thread. I am loving it.
When my son was a wee one, he had problems saying his Ts. He said Fs instead. So, whenever a truck came near him, he would get excited and yell out...Look!!!! A !ruck...a !ruck.
He called a Caboose on a train a "back a boose". He also called a dog a "wow wow". So, whenever a Greyhound bus was near he would say, "Look...a Wow Wow bus".
Then there was his Hobby Horse. Since horses were "buck bucks" to him, he named his Hobby Horse "Buck Buck". He also had a little all terrain vehicle that he named "Vroom Vroom" since that is what it sounded like when he would go around and around in circles on it.
Does anyone remember the song "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia"? He would try to sing it but the word Gerogia came out as "gorgeous". There was also a song, "I Shot the Sheriff". When he sang it, sheriff came out as Sharon...I shot the Sharon.
Oh those were fun days.

Heres another one on Aaron... He was about 2 and was being potty trained, well he was sitting on the toilet and a few minutes later he came in the livingromm running and screaming..ITS GETTING BIG .. ITS GETTING BIG!!! I had NO clue what he was talking about so I ran to the bathroom.. He had put to much toilet paper in the toilet and flushed it and stopped it up and it was over flowing... Lmao he was so scared, It took until he was older before I could get him to flush the toilet again.. Poor baby scared him to death...LMAO oh but it was so funny!!!!Hugs

Memories are pouring in right now. My older son had finally started doing the whole potty thing on his own. He called out to me one time for me to come see, he had made a "J". His name is Justin. He was so proud. Didn't want to flush it and had a fit when we finally did. Luckily before the days of digital cameras or I may have made a picture of it! LOL! Wouldn't he love to know that I am sharing one of his "potty" stories. A funny thought just came to my mind. He is about to get married and he and his fiance' are so into the monogram thing right now. I guess I could ask if he still poops Js.Comment
