  • climbing... need help

well we have reached terrible two's the came in like a lion hope they calm down to a lamb, but not counting on it. Jake is climbing up everything, I have took him down and said no, the second time a pop on the bottom and said now, and same with the 3rd, and millionth time. The other night I put him to bed, and just knew he was into something cuz he was so quiet, I went in there and he is standing on the dresser . he can even get in the high chair with the tray on it to look out side.. when I tell him no, or take him out of a room he has massive visits screaming no, and even threw the baby gate at me..
I have called and will be getting him in the early program, and may enroll him in half time day care for social skills as my case worker suggested..
and body have any advice, its bee 17 years since I had a 2 year old. I don't recall Ash being like this, she was a climber, but wow.. maybe its just the age thing.

One time my mother was sitting with my kids and she telephoned me at work to tell me she had just retrieved my youngest from standing on top of an upright piano! We STILL can't figure out how he did it.

Do you have a little step ladder you can put in a safe place for him to climb on? Or a park nearby where there are climbing toys?

They don't call them the "terrible twos" for nothing.....

    Hugs,
    Donna
