I survived the family party... sort of. Sort of ate strawberries and am DYING right now, but had a good time there. Emilee got a lot of presents with her favorite NASCAR driver, Dale, Jr. on it. Some money and we had a LOT of people there. More than I had planned for, so we all had SMALL pieces of fruit pizza. I'm a good cook, so I made a sugar cookie base fruit pizza with a cream cheese and sugar base, kiwi, strawberries, and grapes on top. no wonder I am in a flare now. I knew better. Now, the next party, this Saturday, with 10-11 year old Boys and Girls, we'll have a fruit pizza flag wtih blueberries. I should be better then. I hope.

The fruit pizza sounds delicious. I wish I could have some! I am gearing up for the back -to-back birthday party for the kids soon. Can you give me the recipe..sound like it would be a party pleaser. We are doing one 13yr. old, then a 6 yr old. Both girls! Wow..the age difference is so hard at times. I just wish my older girl would be sweeter to her sister...she has such a nasty attitude at times. Those hormones are doing a number!!!! I remember it well!!
Take care now...good luck with party #2.
And stay out of the strawberries!!!! jester

Hi. The recipe is as follows:

1 roll of Sugar Cookie Dough - Spread on your sheet and bake - but not TOO done.

2 pkgs of Cream Cheese - softened
      1/2 cup sugar
      1/2 tsp vanilla
MIX and spread over the cookie base

Cut fruit and arrange over cream cheese.

Darn this IC. I couldn't touch the recipe; too many "avoids" in the prepared dough. Also the Phidelphia cream cheese is a big maybe for me. Wow, the fruits--no wonder you made the joke about Prelief and Vicodin. I'm not sure I have enough of either for my bladder. . . but I can dream, can't I?

Like you, I love to cook; the recipe sounds yummy. Thank for sharing. I'll pass it on to my granddaughters; they should enjoy it. It sounds easy to make. Let us know how the next one turns out.

Emilee's 2nd party went better than the first one. She got so many things! What are these parents thinking??? I let Emilee spend about 10-15.00 on kids presents. Some of these kids bought her new Play Station games. One, I know because I bought the same one for her last week, is $50.00!!! But it was fun. Pictures will be available soon on www.picturetrail.com/vossmerfamily
