  • A pick me up for mom's

My Daughter bought me this beautiful coffee mug for Christmas with the poem written on it below. God graced me with a wonderful child, and for that I will be forever be grateful. Now I have 2 more precious gifts from god, and pray their bio genes don't destroy their desire for life, love, and happiness..

    A Mothers Love Grows Forever

    There are times
    when only a mother's love
    Can understand our tears,
    can sooth our disappointments
and calm all of our fears.

    There are times
    When only a mother's love
can share the joy we feel
When something we have dreamed about
    Quiet suddenly is real.

    There are times
    When only a mothers faith
can help us on life's way
And inspire in us the confidence
we need from day to day

For a mother's heart and a mothers faith
    and a mothers steadfast love
    were fashioned by the angels
    and sent from god above.

My daughter is in Nashville so very far away from home in Michigan, I miss her deeply, we have always been very close. Of course now she is an adult, there are things I don't know, but know in my heart she has another momma she can opelny talk to (thanks you momma Leslie) if she don't want to burden me.

Love your babies now, the laundry, dishes, and whatever else will be there at nap time and when they got to bed. They don't stay young very long, before you know it they are grown and gone. Live like there is no tomorrow, laugh often and never regret anything. and never never forget to tell them you love them every day.

She's definitely a sweetheart. You have a right to be proud.

Thanks for sharing Cindy. On a day when I will probably spend most of it in bed and not spend as much time with Griffin as I should that was nice to read.

I have been diagnoised for 6 1/2 years now. I have taken a long break from the ICN but really miss helping out my fellow IC patients and want to get back into posting.
1st hydro 4/07 showed no visible signs of IC but tons of mast cells in all my biopsy samples which did prove IC.
2nd hydro 4/13/09 showed dark purple glomerulations and I had a capacity of 450 cc's. This hydro proved that my IC had progressed.
I have tried every oral medication as well as rescue instills and DMSO.

I have been lucky enough to see Dr Hanno, the top IC specialist in PA who has told me due to the fact that I have not responded to any "standard" treatments that I have a severe, end stage case of IC with a horrible quality of life (didn't have to tell me that last part!)

Proud wifey of Shane, mommy to Griffin, and step-mom to Logan and Gage
Also proud mom to the best Bullmastiff on earth, Claus

That was beautiful. When Isabelle falls asleep I watch her and it amazes me how much love your heart can hold. When I am feeling flare-ish, I put on something she likes to watch and she will curl up next to me on the couch and go "awwww" when she cuddles into me. I don't know what I would do without her!
Mommy to 2 crazy, wonderful kids and wife to the most amazing man in the world!

04/17/09 Crohn's disease almost killed me with a combo of extreme constipation from pain medications. My bowel ruptured, I almost died from peritonitis and spent several days in the ICU then more in a private room on the floor. If you have any questions about severe constipation from pain meds please don't hesitate to send me a message.
