  • Pudendal Nerve Disorder and Nerve Entrapment

    Hey everyone!

I have IC, PFD, IBS, Pudendal Nerve Disorder as well as some entrapped nerves. I have had a few cystoscopies/hydrodystentins. I have the Medtronic pace maker for my bladder, I've done steroid injections, 20 botox injections, nerve blocks, physical therapy at several locations around NC, and all the medication you can think of up to Fentynyl.

Recently I found a doctor, Dr. A. Lee Dellon up in Baltimore, Maryland who said if he did this procedure on me, all of my problems would go away. He was very thorough with what the procedure was and how he would do it. It seemed like I finally found someone that can help me. The problem is, he is an out of network doctor. I have been denied by my insurance company twice.

Does anyone know of any doctors IN NORTH CAROLINA that do the same kind of thing? A surgery dealing with the pudendal nerve and nerve entrapment in the pelvis.

    Please help me...

One thing you could do is to check with a different surgeon for a second opinion before making a decision. I think I might be a bit leery about a promise of a cure --- at least without that second opinion. If everything checks out, what would probably happen is that your copay for an out of network doctor would go up significantly, but they might pay part of it.

    Stay safe

      Thank you for replying Donna,

I have had several surgeries and I have confirmed from three different neurologists that this is what I have. I need this surgery. I am about to start the appeal process tomorrow. I trust this doctor 100%, and he even knows my main specialist here in NC. I emailed my urologist in NC and he fully agreed that I should get it done. So here goes to more hour long conversations with BCBS.
