I was just about to post this and I saw Liz's post about parotid cysts. I had a parotid salivary gland infection recently. It's still acting up now and again. I think there may be a stone in it. I had one in the gland under my tongue before too. I read where this can be caused by taking medications which dry the mouth and by not getting enough fluid (I avoid drinking water because it fills my bladder). Does anyone else have problems with salivary stones or infections? Liz, what were your symptoms? I had ear pain then my gland got big and I finally vomitted before I went to the doctor. Now my ear is hurting again but I think it's really the gland. Sheeeesh.
