  • Best Eye Drops?

The best eye drops that I've been using are Tears Naturale 2. Hypo Tears and the other cheapy formulas have polyvinyl alcohol, which stings like heck. I've also tried Refresh.. Lacrilube to no avail. My faves are TN2 and Bion Tears. Any other favorites out there?

I like Genteal. That is weird that you have dry eyes too. You can get genteal at wal-Mart. Have you ever heard of Sjogren's Syndrome? My eye DR. said that I might have that. People that have it get really dry eyes and a lot of them have IC! Just another piece of the puzzle, I am sure. -Vicki

I had an eye exam 2 days ago when I got new glasses, and the eye doctor suggested
CIBA Genteal Gel drops. He said it would last longer, and only slightly blur your vision at first because it's thicker.

We have an ophthalmologist in our family; when I discussed this with him, he said to use any of the artificial tears brands --- the only precaution is if the bottle says it takes the red out, don't use it without consulting your own ophthalmologist.

My own eye doc gave me a handful of samples of tears and suggested I try them until I found the one most comfortable for me. He did suggest the individual dose thingies since you need to be somewhat careful about putting stuff in your eyes.

        Hugs,
        Donna
