Savella Question

Question...any of you with Fibro on Savella? I was put on it a few weeks ago and was wondering if ya'll have any input. They ween you onto it really slow. I have heard the main side effect is nausea. I haven't had that, but I have more frequency, urgency and pain. There are other things going on that I can use to explain this away though if I think about it long enough...just wondering if anyone else has had this experience. I also notice having to focus more to urinate...no clue.

I am seeing the Rheumotologist tomorrow. I think I may have some signs of Fibro. I know that the drug you are taking is commong for Fibro. I will certainly ask the doc if that will cause my IC to flare. I have had bladder pain for the past 3 mos. I don't think the Elmiron instills are not helping. See the Uro on Wed.

Hi Stacie--I just started Savella four days ago. i have severe fibromyalgia symptoms but haven't noticed any improvement yet. I also haven't noticed any increase in bladder pain or urgency, though Elmiron seems to have done the trick as far as insulating my bladder wall. I have had a lot of problems in the past with being able to urinate, but Savella so far hasn't made it any worse. I find 2mg of Terazosin avoids the fatigue I get after a 4mg dose. Terazosin and Paradoxical Relaxation (which I learned from the book A Headache in the Pelvis by Dr. Wise) have made it easier to urinate than its been in years.

I do take Lyrica for quick relief of the worst fibro symptoms. 50mg when it's not terrible, 100mg when it is. It can give me relief within 10 minutes. Have you ever tried it?
