  • undigested food

I don't know about this but do you people with ibs also suffer from undigested food in your stool. Is the color and smell (acidic) different than before you had ibs? I heard that ibs can also be linking in the small intestine as well.
not yet dx with ic-diagnosing myself as of aug 2006
    diagnosed ic-october 5 2006(huh just what I thought)

    Charcoal
cod liver oil (for vitamins a and d)
bladder is not getting worse but maybe better
    diagnosed ibs-september 27, 2006
don't know if it's ibs or some other underlining condition. hair loss, weight loss, constipation
all this even though I eat.
    Mercury toxicity with Candida Albicans
    Realy toxic and sick
Dental almagams removal and chelation for heavy metal toxins and candida cleansing as soon as fillings are out
    had catscan, ultrasound, colonoscopy
Matthew 21 verse 22: jesus quotes"and all the things you ask in prayer, having faith, you will receive."

I eat to live, not live to eat.

before going on an ibs/ic diet, i had a LOT of undigested food in my stool (ewwwwww). i would eat and poop it out basically...i've lost a decent amount of weight too. it's been a lot better since i'm on the diet/fiber powder, but it was kinda scary to see carrots, chicken, etc. in my toilet about 10 mins after eating!
(Added by ICNMgrJill on 5/19/08. I am sad to share that Verdicries (aka Tracy) lost her life in a tragic accident just a few days ago. We will miss her support, her encouragement, her sense of humor and, of course, the joy that she found as a mother and wife).

Tracy ~ 29 years old with Toxoplasmosis (from birth), Fibro/CFS (since age 13...ouch), severe IC, IBS-D, severe PFD (surgery made it even worse), vulvodynia, hiatal hernia, GERD, ulcers, severe gastritis, numbness/tingling in extremeties, pelvic nerve damage--mainly urethral, urinary retention, pelvic reconstruction 7.10.07 (fixed rectocele, rectal prolapse, lifted bladder, urethra, uterus, and repaired vaginal walls), Raynaud's, 2 severely herniated discs in neck and one in low back, anemia, PCOS, anxiety/depression/panic attacks (since forever). Still having major bowel problems (inability to empty rectum...any ideas?? ).

I'd like to be on House, MD as a medical mystery.

Married to Craig, a saint amongst men...who puts up with me and my eccentricities...

    Connor with Santa...so happy!

I take: LIQUID Atarax, Flomax, Soma (yet again), acidophilus, Glucosamine/Chondroitin with MSM & collagen, d-mannose. MAJOR flare from Cystoprotek! Re-trying freeze dried aloe vera w/some decent results!

Tried and failed: Elavil, Ultram, Prosed DS, Benadryl, Bentyl, Valium, Ativan, Zanaflex, Librax, Sanctura (all caused retention among other things), bladder instills (owwwwww!), Elmiron (allergic-throat tightening). Failed Interstim-no feeling in sacral nerves...

I'm allergic to penicillan, sulfa, reglan, quinolones, clindamycin, and now LATEX!

I also have the same issues with some food. When my IBS is acting up it is a sure thing. sounds pretty sick that we check out our poop after we go. I don't know about you guys,to be honest I look to make sure ther is no blood. I sometimes am in so much pain that I want to make sure the feeling of things be ripped out of the body isn't true.

I don't remember not having IBS. I have had it since I was a kid. It is much better since I have had the interstim implanted. Unfortunatly I still have a few bad days and those are the days I see the food in the toilet days.
IC/IBS Hopeful : I had my bladder removed on September 29, 2008 for me but I am also so happy I have no regrets

I have a neuropathic dysmotlity of the small bowel. If you have slow motility, this can cause you to have undigested food in your stool. It also depends on what kind of food you are seeing. Like I know that corn does not digest in anyone, also some other foods are very hard to digest and can be seen in your stool.
