I'm having my first colonoscopy next week and had a question for those who have already had them. I'm doing the Miralax prep stuff and the instructions say to take the second bottle of liquid from three to four hours before my procedure, which means I will have to get up at 2:00AM to do this. yuck. Has anyone just taken the second bottle late in the evening instead of in the middle of the night and been ok with doing it this way? Lucky me - my IC goes away but now I may have microscopic colitis. Geez- does it ever stop?

So sorry you have to go through this too! I was diagnosed with colitis 16 years ago and have had about 4 colonoscopies. I don't ever remember having to drink 2 bottles. Let me reassure you that the worst part is drinking that stuff. The rest of the procedure is a cake walk. After my last one I decided to skip the taxi and walk home 5 miles. I guess the colon cleanse the day before didn't wipe you out at all if you were able to walk 5 miles after it was over. I'm impressed. I keep imagining that I'll be so tired after all the flushing and not eating.Comment
