  • Is Imodium Rapid safe for IC?

I've never in my life created as many topics, I'm really sorry but it seems like I can't do anything right, after a uti that left me with a severely irritated bladder that has put me through hell I'm now with diarrhea after taking a NSAID called Etoricoxib (Arcoxia), I suffer from IBS, mostly C with the occasional D and I was wondering if I could take Imodium without causing an IC flare, the Imodium we have here is called Imodium Rapid, it dissolves in your mouth, what's concerning me is that this type of Imodium is composed by Mannitol, Aspartame, Mint Flavour and Sodium Bicarbonate, I was wondering if it could case an IC flare since it's not ingested, it just dissolves in the mouth? The last thing I need is more bladder irritation.

Is Kaopectate available where you live? The Imodium available here is a pill to swallow and just one is not a problem for me. I don't know about one that dissolves in the mouth.

If you do a search for "diarrhea remedies" you'll find some good suggestions that might help.

I'm so sorry you're having such a difficult time. I hope you're better soon.

    Stay safe
