  • recent diagnosis of IBS

    Hello,
I recently received a diagnosis of IBS. I am relieved that nothing else is wrong with my bowel but also find bloating from food puts pressure on my bladder. I am on a very healthy diet working on gut dysbiosis and definately agree that raw vegetables are hard on my system. I was eating lots of salad. I have successfully eliminated caffeine, chocolate and sugar from my diet. I think diet will help me deal with both IC and IBS but it is definately complicated. I was working with a dietician briefly and did not find it helpful at all. I really want to try to deal with IBS without medication and after the recent article about Elmirion am considering seeing what happens if I reduce my dosage, I tried several years ago and was in a fair bit of pain but went back on it. I have been on it several years now. Just wondering how other people manage both of these conditions, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Hi Katrina,
i don’t have IBS, but I have using a new supplement called Integrative Factors. Someone on this board had posted about how it helped them get there IC under control. I got mine on Amazon. It has glucosamine in it. That’s why it might help with IC. I happen to notice that some reviewer‘s said it help their IBS, one even saying it put her in remission. Might be worth checking out !
