  • Do I even have yeast anymore???UGH

Hi everyone. I have a question. I have previously posted about my ridiculous levels of yeast. I started taking acidophilous pills (3 a day) and have seen a dramatic drop in that nasty curdy discharge. However, now I am experiencing frequency and have been for a month. It comes and goes. so I am trying to decide if this sounds like a UTI. I have anitbiotics but am scared to take them in case this is still yeast. So my question is can you have a yeast infection bad enough to cause a flare and not see any curdy discharge?

With a UTI I would think you would be having symtoms like burning along with frequency..Its just so hard to tell between an UTI and a flare, You should really go get checked or got get a home test to rule out an infection..

I know people get tired of me saying "my urogynecologist said IC mimics a lot of things", but he said it can mimic a yeast infection. When I think I have a yeast infection I let the 1cc of instill mixture that remians in the catheter to drain over the area. And since I started doing that I have found out that what I have is not a yeast infection.

Yes, yeast can cause symptoms without you seeing the yeast. That doesn't mean that is what is going on with you, only that the possibility is there.

This time of year at least around here the humidity in the air gets high which makes yeast more comfortable...
When it comes to UTI's....I guess you sort of have to get used to what they feel like for you...it isn't the same for everyone. Me, I would expect some real pain. Do you have any home tests?? How about ph tests? Good luck and hope you feel better soon!

HI ladies. So I went and bought the uti test kit like Katrina suggested. I have tested twice and both were negative so I don't have a uti. I am sure it is one or a combination of 2 things. It's still the yeast or it's the yeast and the fact that I stopped taking the vesicare I was taking. I was having the lumpy discharge like REALLY bad...now my dischage is clear and sticky. Does this mean that the yeast is beginnign to clear or what?

Hey everyone. I know that yeast can cause IC patients to feel like they are in a flare. however, my frequency is out of control!! and I have been having back pains off and on. and I do not experience the symptoms all the time....the frequency comes and goes. has anyone else experienced this? the last time I felt frequency that bad was right before my cycle started...but I don't have cycles anymore because of aygestin that I take to correct my hormone imbalance. I REALLY need some advice on this. I am really really scared that my body is rejecting the meds.

Yeast can cause spasms which can cause back pain. Yeast in your bladder could be extremely bladder painful which can surely bother your back.

This has been a very hard summer for me IC wise....allergies are high....I am more acidic...and it comes and goes but when it comes it is nuts...I can't believe I can go from no symptoms to extreme so fast but I am this summer. I don't think yeast is the big cause although summer time does make me more vulnerable to be it with all the moisture in the air.
For me with frequency I have to narrow down what is causing it...retention, spasms, or pain in a more mild form is what I look at. Bladder size can sure contribute but that wouldn't come and go.
When your back is hurting is your bladder hurting? If not I would say your muscles are either very tight (constant spasm) or are spasming when it happens...not a huge difference.

I don't know if your boddy is rejecting the med but if your speaking of a hormone embalance med being rejected I would think more than IC symptoms

                http://icandme.9.forumer.com/index.p...t=0&#entry2586 frequency

It is possible that your body is more acidic without it being because of hormones this time but before you assume hormones...what is your ph?

                Feel free to email me.
                Hope you feel better soon!

Yeast - has it gone systemic

You need to read my post about my recent diagnosis by a well respected doctor who is on the ICA's Medical Advisory board. Here name is Dr. Ragi Doggweiler. I saw her recently, and she has concluded that I have a systemic yeast problem. It can cause so many of the problems from which we all suffer - the fibro, the chronic fatigue, the brain fog, the stomach problems, etc. Type Candidiasis into a search engine and start reading if you haven't already.
