  • Jules, how is it going????

How did the first few patients go? Are you more confident now that a week has gone by? I agree with Hope that my level of empathy has gone WAY up. I deal with grossly obese people and I have a huge compassion for those whose chronic pain conditions keep them immobile. Let us know how you are doing?

Did you know that up to 94% of interstitial cystitis patients find some symptom relief when they change their diet, and that dietary modification is recommended as a first line treatment for IC? Check out the IC Food List to get started!

      Julie and Hope,
Thank you so much for checking in with me. I am doing so much better now that I am off the short acting meds. It was so wonderful to be back doing something that I love to do. I do have more empathy. I do have to be careful with transference especially around victim roles. I found myself really reacting to a patient that stays stuck in a victims role. Part of my stuff around that is the struggles with Dr. 's and the medical peices and the powerlessness of these diseases. I will need to do some processing. But thank you both for your support. It really helped. And you're right, Hope, There is a tremendous gift in the 50 min. hour, especially in a flare! Gentle loving, healing hugs, Jules

It is good for all of us to experience some success again after some of the things we go through. Thanks for checking in. Julie
