  • Nutcracker Syndrome

Has anybody here been diagnosed with a “compression syndrome” as the cause of their IC? I had an Interventional Radiologist look at my CT scan, he used a “SAG” view and told me I had a significant renal vein compression which can cause the Hematuria (20+ years now) and it looked very much like “Nutcracker Syndrome” which results in a combination of pelvic pain and lower abdominal pain along with orthostatic hypotension and Hematuria. I always thought the dizziness and light-headedness was just another symptom of one of my IC flares. There are more tests they need to run, I don’t want another “condition”, but if this is the root cause, maybe treating it would give relief to the bladder symptoms. I guess it’s rare, but just wanted to see if anyone else had gone down this path?

I know it can be frustrating to have tests and more tests, especially in our Covid 19 world --- but it would be nice if they could find something that can be helped. Please post when you know.

    Sending healing wishes,
