    I actually remember reading that one of the main ingredients in Robitussin - guaifenesin - is helpful to some with IC. I don't remember why or if that is still true, but I do remember reading that. You can probably get a Robitussin without the alcohol, too, if it does have alcohol.

    Robitusson has alcohol too, doesn't it? That itself would make your bladder hurt.

    Very good point - you just never know what the heck is going to happen after you put something into your system! See my post about food allergies and bad reactions- even with minor level allergies!

    Robitusson for congestion harming bladder?

    I'm taking Robitusson for chest congestion and upon reading more about it (because I'm a nerd like that) discovered that it thins all the mucus that the body produces, including cervical mucus. So that makes me wonder, would it also thin the mucus layer that protects the bladder? I would think that would be pretty bad for our bladders. What do you guys think?
