Hey Ronda, I do sometimes and it is just above my eye. I do have a lazy eye so I think it just gets tire. Sometimes in a great while one of my finger will do it. I believe it is just a muscle spasms.

Since you are getting it alot maybe your doctor can tell you why this is happening. My guess is muscle spasms but I can be wrong.

    Sending hugs, Trishann

I have been meaning to ask this! I wondered if it could be a side effect of the Elavil? My eye has been twitching like crazy, which usually just happened if I was under a lot of stress, which I am not. And other twitches/nervous tics that I've dealt with all my life are back in full force, way more noticeable than they've been since I was in grade school. Anyone know if there is some relation to either IC or Elavil?

Yes, mine are worse after I go to bed and have been laying down for a few minutes. Sometimes my whole body will twitch. They started with the anti-depressants. Some worse then others.

I get this, mostly in my legs. It isn't like what they call restless leg syndrome. Instead it feels like my muscles are firing off indiscriminately.

I usually just get up and stretch my muscles out big time.........

I get them too. One finger will twitch fast, toes, legs, arms--and my whole body sometimes. I thought it was from my pain meds?? I quit Elavil about 9 mos ago so it can't be that. I get them worse when relaxing also--I hate the ones that wake you right as your dozing off.

Yes, I have experienced twitches in my legs before and sometimes my eyes and arms. I haven't noticed it lately, but I espcially noticied it when I first started on Soma and Elavil, so I don't know which one or if it was the combo. I especiallly noticed it when I was relaxed which is understandable since that is when it would be more noticible.

Angie, the ones that wake me from almost dozing off are the worse. that is when my whole body will jerk. Very painful for a few moments after that.

I have something similar. I get a tremor in my left arm/hand that comes and goes. It's from a nerve problem. You should porbably see your primary doctor. Especially if it's interfearing with doing things.

                        Medical "Issues":
                        IC
                        GERD
                        Tachycardia(resting rate is 125-130 )
                        Medicastions:
                        Tramadol-as needed (IC)-50mg
                        Elmiron 200mg twice a day
                        Levsin .125mg 1-2 pills 4 times a day

I get the twitches as well...but mine are from RLS. They happen when I'm about to fall asleep and all of the sudden my legs will rapidly jerk. It feels a lot like you're falling. I happens at least once a night for me. I've had this problem for about 2 years and i've only just started Elavil 2 weeks ago so I know it couldn't be a side effect from it. I still get the jerks, although less frequently, on Elavil but they're not as rapid. My Ruematologist told me that the jerks may also be related to Fibromyalgia as well.

I also notice that when I cross my legs the leg that is crossed often jerks. And it's not uncommon for me to flip a pen out of my mind while writing because of a twitch.
