Hi , I am writing regarding my daughter. My daughter is been dealing with joint pains, She is almost 13 and she has had them as long as i can remember. She has been checked for Arthritis and all clear thankfully. She has mild scoliosis, which as she is growing looks better. She has also been treated 2 times for H-Pylori found after a gastroscope because of constant heartburn. She also lately has been complaining of a very sore stomach then she goes to the bathroom and she is better, it is usually worse in the mornings after she eats. She had a Cysto/Hydro done and she has signs of IC, could all these complaints really be related. Seems like we are always seeing different doctors for different things.
Also would an IC doctor be the best bet if she can find one close to look at all the complains?

The joint pain could be fibromyalgia; it does occur in children, and it's pretty common among IC patients. There's a test the doctor (rheumatologist) can do, involving slight pressure on certain points on her body. If the slight pressure hurts in at least nine of the pre-determined spots, the diagnosis of fibro is made. Unfortunately, there's not a lot you can do about it.

It really depends on the doctor. "IC doctors" are usually urologists or uro-gynecologists, and may not have the expertise to handle her joint pain and stomach problems. I know you said she has a history of h-pylori, but I'm wondering, has she been tested for food allergies? A lot of IC patients are also highly allergic.
Je vous souhaite de la joie, de la bonne santée, et tout ce qu'il y a de bon dans la vie.
Wishing you happiness and good health, and all the best out of life.

    Peace, Carolyn
