I was diagnosed with Fibro 5-21-07. I have been looking for some good resources! For those with Fibro, could you give me some ideas of websites, books, ect that are good for helping??? If any of you have young children, how do you care for them when your IC or Fibro or both are flaring??????
TIA

I have had fibromyalgia for 2 years or so now. My chiropractor says he treats this successfully with chiro treatments, diet, supplements, and exercise. He explained to me about the diet and it is mainly fruits, vegetables, meats, no dairy, sugar, grains, etc. It is basically following an anti-inflammatory diet. I am just going to be starting the diet next week. If you would like to ask me other questions or see how I am doing in a few weeks or months, you are more than welcome to private message me.
I also have fibro, I take flexeril 3 times a day when I have fibro pain, which is a lot these days, I also take vicodine.
When I found out my pain was from fibro, I did a google search.
The best I can say about taking care of small children when you are in pain, is to grin and bear it. I know that sounds stupid, but I have a 22 month old son, and thats what I do. The flexeril helps a great deal. Ask your doctor for a script of 5mg ones, please take it a few times when someone is with you and your kids to find out if it don't make you really tired.
good luck and feel better.
