I also have ITP (Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura) as well as IC. On Monday I begin a four week infusion of Rituxan due to my severely low platelet level. I was wondering if anyone knows if Rituxan has any benefits for IC too. As my ITP gets worse I am noticing that the IC is also getting worse. The pressure, pain, burning and frequency increase the lower my platelet count gets. Both were just diagnosed in November, so I am just getting used to all of this and am really scared that the treatment for one illness is making the other one worse.
