Hello Ron and I apologize I didn't see this yesterday.....

Here’s a Comprehensive Website that gives you Everything you wanted to know about (PN), Pudendal Neuralgia (PN), or Pudendal Nerve Entrapment (PNE) from what it is, some Facts and Questions from patients, what the symptoms are, diagnosis, treatment Options, for example it goes into detail regarding such topics: Lifestyle changes, Medication Management, Physical Therapy, Botox, Pudendal Nerve Blocks, Pudendal Nerve Decompression Surgery, Neuromodulation and information about the Intrathecal Pain Pump. The site even talks about Emotional Aspects that go along with having PN/PNE, the Anatomy of the Pudendal Nerve, Related Conditions that have very similar Symptoms to IC, A List of North American Doctors who diagnose and treat PN/PNE, a list of Physical Therapists who treat it, Personal PN/PNE Stories, and even a Pain Scale. The link to this website is as follows:

Good Luck and I hope you find the answer to your nerve block questions here.

    Kara

P.S. Each Person and Doc has different experiences with nerve blocks, so if I described my own personal experience it may be completely different from how you will have it done. You can also call you doc and ask a nurse there to describe what yours in particular will be like so there will be no guessing or worrying.

  • Male needs know what to expect when getting pudendal nerve block

    Hello to all,
There a great chance that I may have to have a pudendal nerve block. Are pudendal nerve blocks painful? I am already in much pain and do not like anymore pain if I can keep from it. What should I except? It is really a scary thing to have to do. What if they hit the nerve accidently? Is it safe? Is nerve blocks any different for men than women. Do there give a person something so that it will not hurt? About how long does it take? Do they give nerve blocks for both sides at one time?

I am presently in pain 24 hours a day. I can hardly sit. Pain increase with any sitting. Constant pain above pelvis, in crouch area, and in rectum. Big time pain in rectum.

I need your input so that I will know more of what to expect when it is required.

    Thank you for your input,

    Ron
