sounds like a great start! I see my uro this tuesday...I'm moving back to cleveland in 6 months so I wont be able to see her anymore she is awesome. Finding a good dr always helps. Sometimes even when you have a good dr there is always room for improvement. My gyn who diagnosed me was great but she doesnt do surgery. She is only a NP so she is limited.

yes PT is physical therapy. Some people like myself have found relief from getting PT. I actually got PT when I was having symptoms before I was diagnosed and it actually made things worse because the PT did not know that I have IC or any of my related conditions. It is good to find someone who either knows and IC or is in womens health. Where I live there is 3 different places I can go. Usually a uro or gyn has to write a prescription for your insurance to cover it. I am covered up to 40 visits a year.

At PT I see two different people. A PT who is trying to correct my muscle imbalances which can contribute to pain. All of my muscles in my pelvic region are sore and will not relax. I also see Cindy who does biofeedback. This is helping somewhat with my frequency and urgency. Hope this helps
