I dont know exactly what vulvodynia is but i have constant vaginal pain and cramping. No burning. Just very nasty cramps it seems like i have them ALL the time. Sitting on a hot water bottle helps.
Anybody else have this?
That crampy feeling that's like menstrual cramps, but varying in intensity from mild to severe is what many people call bladder spasms. It's like my bladder is trying to turn itself inside out when I'm in a flare.

For me, the best way I can describe it is that my bladder feels like it's trying to give birth to itself thru my uretha

i have had urethra problems since the very first pain. you may have pvd because since i have been on soma a muscle relaxant this is alot better. the muscles surronding the urethra can go into spasms and this is classic pvd.
I think she means PFD, which is pelvic floor dysfunction. It can be helped by physical therapy.

I too have PFD and IC....and IBS, but thats not the problem....
when I get crampy, thats the spasms. Sometimes I even feel the spasms without cramps but usually with and a heating pad helps me with that.
I also have a question...sometimes I get discomfort that seems TOTALLY unrelated to my bladder. Its down there....kinda all over....like a burning, irritated sensation but not just my vagina or urethra, kinda everything. When it lasts for a bit it will eventually give me urethra pain. BUt usually its just like this Hot, burning, weird sensation....anyone feel that?
