HELP!!!! New medicine:(

My 4th round of medication for this yeast infection, something I've never heard of
-Cleocin- I have to insert it every night for 7 nights, tonight being the first night.

Well, a whole lot of good it did putting it in at bedtime cuz I'm up peeing every 10 minutes and I've got my interstim set as high as I can stand it. One of the slight side effects was urinary problems......I JUST GOTTA SAY IT, "WHY ME".

I'm so much where you are at with this crazy infection you are dealing with. Except I have bacterial vaginosis and I'm on the 3rd round of anti's to clear it and on top of it all I get yeast from the anti's?? I agree and I just have to say with you WHY ME? And when will it ever end?? I'm sorry for you as I know all to well how uncomfortable this is.

Well it must be the time of year for yeast infections. I'm on my 2nd med for a yeast infection now. These things are just so much fun . Hope this med. gets rid of your yeast infection.

Teri-one more thing. Cleocin is an antibiotic and once you start to take it, PLEASE do not stop without consulting your doctor as this can lead to antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria.

Thanks Barbara~yes, he did a culture and this is the 3rd kind of medication he's tried. I sure the hell hope he knows what he's doing because this medication (vaginally) is really aggrevating my IC.

How did you get out of the yeast HE** Hole???

Teri, I'm still not sure what you're taking this for. In your first post they said it was for yeast. Cleocin is for bacterial vaginosis not yeast like the others said and will in fact cause major yeast. I took it vaginally twice and both times got a raging yeast infection, like none I had before. It is very broad spectrum, more so than the other one they use for bacterial vaginosis, Metrogel. When I took that it did not cause yeast. Cleocin definitely wipes out the good bacteria and causes yeast. Maybe I'm missing something but you might want to clarify with your doctor what he's treating you for...If it is yeast, the Cleocin will only make it worse, and you will have to supplement with an antiyeast medication.
