Neurontin and vulvodynia
Is anyone taking neurontin for volvodynia? I am taking 300 mg in the am and in the pm and am going to have to increase the doseage~t.

Hi Terri,
I take neurontin for pain. It is supposed to short curcuit the signal to your brain (that is from my understanding). I take 300mg 3x per day and I think I am going to have to increase that. You can take up to 3600mg a day-I don't know if you could function or not though!
I also have vulvodynia-is it supposed to help that too?

Yes Shel, it is helping. My gyno put me on 300mg at night and it helped for a week and I had to start taking one in the am and one in the pm, now I have had to start taking one in the afternoon too.
I was on 1800 mg last year for the IC and fibro and just quit taking it. Guess I am going to have to build back up in the doseage again because I've been in an IC flare too that refuses to let up.
The VV has gotten so bad that it keeps me awake at night itching like a mad woman
