    Hi, I am very prone to yeast infection and will ask my dr to give me diflucan. But just wonder is it antibiotics?
    how many mg am i supposed to take a day?

    Your physician will order a specific dose for you. This can vary by your size, weight, and other factors so it's always good to take any medication as ordered specifically for you.

    Diflucan is an antifungal antibiotic. This is a generic name --- if you have taken medication for yeast infection in the past, you may have taken it at some time.

      diflucan is an anti-funul antibiotic. It will not give you a yeast infection, but will kill it.

      When I took it I took 150 mg @ bedtime and in the morning for two weeks, than took just one for about three months at bedtime.

      Never got another yeast infection again, this was over 4 years ago.
