  • bladder pylops

Has anyone ever had pylops removed from their bladder. I don't know if I spelled pylops right so I hope you know what I'm talking about. I asked the doctor what caused them and he said bladder infections but I never knew of any I had at that time. And when they did a urine test it never showed any bacteria.

Yes, I had polyps removed from my bladder with my first hydrodistention in 1975. I don't know what causes them. They have not recurred.

I just had a polyp removed at the end of Oct. This was done during my first cystoscopy. The doctor seems to think all of my bladder problems will go away once I get my bladder wall back to normal. He told me since it was overworked for so long (8 yrs.)that the wall had thickened and that I now have to take pills to keep it relaxed until it gets back to normal.

I am doing much better than in the past 8 years. But, still afraid to believe I will be cured. He said I didn't have IC. I have had all of the frequency and urgency symptoms daily without a break for those years but never felt the pain that others described.

It took 2 weeks before I could get back to work and about a month before I started noticing improvement - compared to before it was removed.

I hope that this doctor is right. Will have to wait and see what happens down the road here.

I have had bladder polpys 2 times. But it has been about 10 years since the last ones.I also had thickening of the bladder wall. I am doing Hydrodistentions and DMSO treatments now but I have IC. Hopefully yours was not IC. It always took me that long to get back on my feet too. Hugs to you and take care. I've had IC over 28 yrs.
