Thanks Jess, I appreciate it! I've had a couple of less-than-great days this week where I had some symptoms but I think it's also because I've been under a lot of stress. Still, it's totally not a big deal compared to how I was only a few months ago.

I'm also going for a consultation on Wed. for pelvic floor therapy (I noticed in one of the other posts you mentioned you have PFD.) I'm hoping that will also help keep things under control. Keep your fingers crossed!

    Good news from the gynecologist

I went for a follow-up exam today so the gynecologist could determine how well my VV treatment has been progressing. I've been taking Calcium Citrate and Elavil for almost 3 months now and am on the third pack of Ovcon 35 (without taking the placebo, so that I can reduce the number of periods I get ech year.) He did the q-tip test and this was the first time I didn't experience any discomfort when he touched any of the spots on the vestibule that had been tender before. I still have some redness (and do experience ocassional irritation, which is relieved by splashing cool water on the vaginal area, applying a topical ointent like Gynecort or A&D and trying to let the area "air out" whenever I can) but he said it's greatly improved. He was glad to hear that I have been able to resume sexual activity (and I was even more glad to be able to report it -- ha ha! ) and that it doesn't seem to be triggering major flares so long as I'm careful. I was worried he might ask for me to repeat having the biopsy done (some of you might recall I had it done and the lab lost the biopsy) but he didn't even bring it up at all, so he must not think it's necessary. Woo hoo! bunny

Unfortunately he doesn't believe I'll ever see complete remission of symptoms, that it will be something I always have to manage on some level. (He did say that he has seen women remove remarkably during and after pregnancy, bt I'm a couple of years away from that possibly happening.) Overall though it's pretty good news, considering I feel more "normal" than I have been in quite a long time.
