Is there anyone here that takes calcium citrate for Vulvodynia? I tried taking it not too long ago but it didn't help any. I was wondering if maybe it would help with the absorption by taking it with vitamin D or chewable ones?

I know this will not help you much but I am taking calcium citrate for osteopenia. It has not made me worse. Don't know if it helped any.
You should always take Vit D when you take calcium.
Are you feeling better? You were having such a hard time after the hydro.

I take Calcium Citrate for vulvodynia, but only when eating high oxalate foods like blueberries or spinach. It works on those foods like Prelief works on acids, from what I've been told. And it has allowed me to have small amounts of blueberries & spinach, whereas before I couldn't have any without an outbreak of vulvar itching.Kadi

I have taken Calcium Citrate for many many years before developing vulvodynia and VV, so it definitely didn't prevent me from getting these conditions. I still take it daily for the calcium/bone benefits but have never noticed any relief from my symptoms. As the saying goes around here, everyone's different but even if it doesn't help with my vulvodynia I do plan to continue taking it for the other benefits. Although the vulvodynia can be pure h*ll at times, I am more worried about osteoporisis and will take calcium citrate and drink milk religiously if that's what it takes to avoid it. I do hope that it helps others with their V symptoms. Best wishes

I started taking Calcium Citrate + Vit D on may 15th. 3 days later i felt so much better! Since then i've been good except this weekend...(taking antibiotic for UTI and probably have a Yeast infection now) but other than that i really have been good. So the only thing i do at the moment is taking Calcium Citrate and an Estroegen Cream.
I also watch my diet ...no high oxalate foods and i kinda go with the IC diet...no acid foods or drinks. Its hard but possible.
I feel a bit burned down in regards to vitamins....not sure what vitamins i can take which doesnt harm my vulvodynia or IC...that is hard.
