  • subcutaneous marcaine/steroid

This morngin I had subcutaneous marcaine and steroid injected into a painful area.

Has anyone here done this, and if so, was it a success?

Thanks in advance for all help!

I had a steroid injection into an extremely painful frozen shoulder last summer and it eased the pain enough so I could begin exercising.

The first few hours after the injection my urethral pain went away. Then after the marcaine wore off I felt worse (as a result of the needle, I'm sure, given that I was bleeding).

Today I feel about the same as always.

The doc said I would probably need more than one round of these since the inflmmation is so bad. I will check every few days to see if the redness abates on the side they gave it to me. I think that would take a while though.

        Thanks for the responses!
