For 2 years I have been doing great, the last 3 months I have had dmso treatments and now the dr. is trying me on Enablex. Has anyone taken this before? Just wondering. Whenever I am flaring, I worry constantly about never feeling better, its actually panic. Most people in my life just don't understand!

I can only speak for myself, I also get alittle anxiety doing flares wondering if this is going to stay and not go away. Sometimes I have to remind myself this is temporary and that I do get better. I know it is hard to believe it during those crazy painful flares but you do get better.

      Sending hugs, Trishann

Anxiety and fear is definitely a part of this illness and what you are experiencing is completely normal. Talk to your doctor. S/he might be able to give you something to help with the anxiety and stress. I have xanax that I take for flares (just a bit for the pelvic muscles) and it helps with my anxiety at the same time. Others take antidepressants. Others meditate. Etc.

The feeling of anxiety is normal & it's easier to deal with sometimes-but I don't think it will ever go away.

I did try Enablex for a while. It worked very well. The 15mg dose actually worked too well. I wasn't able to pee at ALL. It was nice not going every five minutes, but then I got scared after a while. I literally had to bend over & "squish" my bladder to go. My Uro reduced me to the 7.5mg dose and it was much better. I use it still when my symptoms get uncontrollable, but I'm trying not to take too many meds these days!

          Good luck, sweetie!
