  • so sad, a friend died

Just got word today that a longtime friend and former coworker of mine died yesterday afternoon. We waited tables together in 2 different restaurants for over 10 yrs. He was assaulted at a night club by two men, I don't know why, haven't gotten the whole story yet. It happened last Thursday night and he was in the hospital til yesterday, when he died. He was a very happy man, going on 50, but looked 40. Always a smile and a hug and kiss whenever I saw him. It was so strange, I always ran into him someplace whenever I left the house! He was my friend. I'm going to miss him.

How horrible, I'm very sorry for your loss. I will keep you in my thoughts.
                Christine

I have been diagnoised for 6 1/2 years now. I have taken a long break from the ICN but really miss helping out my fellow IC patients and want to get back into posting.
1st hydro 4/07 showed no visible signs of IC but tons of mast cells in all my biopsy samples which did prove IC.
2nd hydro 4/13/09 showed dark purple glomerulations and I had a capacity of 450 cc's. This hydro proved that my IC had progressed.
I have tried every oral medication as well as rescue instills and DMSO.

I have been lucky enough to see Dr Hanno, the top IC specialist in PA who has told me due to the fact that I have not responded to any "standard" treatments that I have a severe, end stage case of IC with a horrible quality of life (didn't have to tell me that last part!)

I'm so sorry to hear about him. They've been drilling for gas around me too. Some of them people are very very pushy and just about almost threaten you if you don't sign up. It's really a shame what people will do for money.

I am so sorry Briza. That he died in such a way is heartbreaking. I am from a small town too and a death of a community member can be like losing a family member.
We just lost a family friend who taught Sunday school at my parent's church. It will be strange and sad not to see her anymore. You are in my thoughts and prayers Briza.
