  • Estriol or Estradiol? I’m confused.

I just read a post where someone said to use estriol vs estradiol because it won’t cause burning if it’s compounded in coconut oil.
I have already tried estradiol compounded in vitamin e cream and then another one in a non alcohol preservative free base and they both burned the sh*t out of my Vulva !!
spent a lot of money and even started with the brand name Estrace and that was bad.
Is estriol really different and can I get it without a prescription? Why wouldn’t the doctor just prescribe the lesser weaker hormone if that’s the case?
anyone here have some experience with them? Arrrggghh

Did you figure this out? You can get either estriol or estradiol confounded in olive oil from Women’s International Pharmacy.

Thank you for taking a moment to answer my post. Yes I have it figured out and I hope this helps someone else who suffered with burning urethra and bladder pain and frequency.
I use women’s international pharmacy To get compounded estradiol .01 in a non alcohol gel form and it has turned my life around.
olive oil, coconut oil and vitamin e all burned me too much. The gel burned at first but I stick it out and it went away after a few minutes but it did take a while for the gradual lessening of the burning. It still burns immediately upon application but subsides within minutes so stick it out of you can because it’s sooo worth it.
PS thank you Donna for answering as always. I hope you’re doing well.

I'm doing pretty well --- it's a strange world we are living in right now --- and it's a challenge for all of us. I'm glad you're doing better.
