Stopped YAZ and in a bad flare

I have been taking YAAX for 3 months.. I stopped it because of the lack of sex drive and my IC came back with a vengence. Do you think the bc was helping it. I mean I would get some symptoms while on the pill but it was few and far between. Has the pill helped anyone else with their IC? THanks

When I stopped the BC the IC got worse for me too. I quit taking it because I was tired of having to go through the whole physical thing. Doc's won't give BC without physicals. Maybe try another BC pill?

You might want to try a different pill, there are hundreds of combos of progestin to estrogen out there. In general a higher ethlyn estradiol pill such as Ovcon 35 seems to work a little better than the higher progestin pills. Progestins are in general a bladder irritant.

yes, some are helped by the pill. I, on the other hand, flared the last time I tried to take the pill. I can't take the hormones.

Just because you tried a pill and flared does not mean you cant take any BC pill; it means you cant take that pill with that ratio of what ever progestin and estrogen it was? Dont totally give up, there are many, many combos of pills all with different types of progestins. For example I had a terrible reaction to bio identical progesterone, but could take a testosterone derived progestin without any problems.
