  • PingPong for IC

    Hi everyone,

I wanted to share my experience with using ping pong as a way to manage my IC (Interstitial Cystitis) symptoms. While it may seem like an unlikely solution, playing ping pong has helped me to stay active and relieve stress, which in turn has helped to reduce my flare-ups.

Here are a few reasons why I think ping pong can be beneficial for those with IC:

Low Impact: Ping pong is a low-impact sport, which makes it easier on the joints and can help to reduce inflammation.

Aerobic Exercise: Playing ping pong can be a great source of aerobic exercise, which has been shown to reduce stress and improve overall health.

Social Connection: Joining a ping pong club or playing with friends can be a great way to stay socially connected, which is important for mental and emotional health.

Distraction: When playing ping pong, you are focused on the game and not on your IC symptoms. This can be a welcome distraction and help to reduce anxiety and stress.

I've found many informative contenet here https://pingpongacademy.org/ping-pong-backhand/ that incorporating ping pong into my routine has been a great way to stay active, relieve stress, and manage my IC symptoms.

Have any of you tried using ping pong or other sports to manage your IC? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences. And if you haven't tried ping pong before, I encourage you to give it a shot!‚Äč
