  • Need help w/article on exercise & IC

My name is Stacey and I'm a freelance journalist working on assignment for IC Optimist magazine (the publication of the ICN). I'm putting together an article for the next issue about fitness and ways that IC patients are finding to stay fit. I'm interested in learning ways that you've found to exercise that don't make your symptoms worse. I'm also interested in ways you've tried to exercise that didn't work for your bladder.

I'd just have a few questions that could be answered through private message, e-mail or over the phone -- whatever is easiest for you. You can send me a PM or e-mail me at [email protected].

I need to have all interviews completed by March 16 in order to meet my deadline.

    Thanks so much!

some icers can walk and do some sort of exercise. with me when i walk to long or try to clean house without a break my bladder acts up an uncomfortable, abnormal feeling. i guess it is because it gets bounced around not sure. having ic is definitely a life altering change for all who suffer. the ic diet alone is bad enough, plus the pain and so many people not understanding really hurts especially when its our own family members. sometimes i think the people that take ic as if it were nothing if they could walk (ha) one day in our shoes they would know then. what scares me is we are getting more and more young people newly diagnosed with this desease. i am beginning to think there is something in our drinking water supply system thats causing not only this desease but other kinds too. sorry for my crummy writing i am not a writer.
