Running is too "jarring" for me. I do a fast walk with no problems. I've never tried elliptical.

Running is painful for my IC and I get spasms & leakage.
The elliptical is great, no problems with my IC or pelvic floor dysfunction.

I love the elliptical but for some reason, I don't know why, my PT told me not to use the elliptical. When she told me that I didn't think to ask why, but she said it wasn't good for me and I was there for PFD. I can't do the treadmill very well, I tent to walk very "heavy" and it makes my hips hurt a lot. The main thing to remember whatever equipment you use it not to "hang" on the bars, use them for stability but not to lean on, you don't get the full benefit of the workout. It you have elliptical with the arm poles use them, they really increase your workout.

I think you can do as much as you're comfortable doing. We are all so different. I walk on the treadmill and walk outside because I have bad knees I don't run. If it doesn't hurt you to do these things then I say do them

I can use Elliptical with the arm poles no problem there. The treadmill hurts my gluts, hips and thighs a day or so after using it. Don't know why. I don't run on it and gradually increase the incline. I take it at no faster than 4.6 speed. But I don't use it anymore. I don't run outside at all but only walk. In fact today I will walk around my neighborhood when I get home from work. It's supposed to be close to 70, but supposed to be cold and damp tomorrow
