Try low acid pure roast coffee and a coffee tamer. Both of these you can buy from Amazon.

There's also coffee available in the ICN Shop --- and remember that any time you order from the ICN Shop, it helps with the expenses of the IC Network site and these forums.

Wouldn't the coffee suppository get to your bladder? Which would really defeat the purpose...well yeah...I guess you'd get your fix, if that's even possible...I just can't imagine how it can ever replace an actual coffee...cause for me...drinking coffee is all about the aroma and and taste and everything that goes into the coffee...sipping it slowly and putting my shot of fresh cardamon in it. Yes, cardamon...it gives the coffee a slight kick...And if you do get that boost...what if it irritates your bladder? Is it really worth it? Have any of you tried JJ Bean? The company is based in Vancouver, B.C. They have a roast called RAILROAD and claim it's 0% acidity. I still can't believe it. I found out about it through someone posting a message about it on facebook (this was the Vancouver IC Network). You could give it a try OR the coffee that is sold through the IC Network shop.

I don't know about suppositories? That's not something I want to do. I like the tast and smell of the coffee. Right now I'm doing Purroast with coffee tamer and I only have 1 or 1/2 cup a day.
I will def check out the Railroad coffee though.

No, it doesn't get to my bladder. As long as I don't overdo it, it works just great, no flares. Yes, it is really worth it.

In my case, even neutered acid-free coffee is a problem, and since it tastes like complete garbage to me, that is my own definition of not worth it. The best substitute I've found is dark roast Teeccino--in some ways I think it tastes even better than the real thing, as I say this as someone was in the industry.

I realize this is not going to be an appealing workaround for most people. But I've been doing this for several months now it works great for me.

If you have a Trader Joe's near you, they have a very good low acid coffee. Unfortunately it doesn't come in decade but I find I can drink a couple of cups as long as my bladder is happy. I take prelief and use Javacid.

I can have one cup of TJ's low acid coffee.

I usually have two cups with Javacid and a couple of Prelief. Of course if my bladder is unhappy I stick to Peppermint tea.

I am a coffee addict and refuse to give it up, although I have cut down. If my symptoms would go away or greatly improve, I would give up coffee, but I have never found that it makes much difference. Of course, large amounts of coffee makes things worse, but when I cut out coffee completely and drank marshmallow root tea, I didn't notice a difference. I think Heathwise low acid coffee, available on Amazon, is better than Puroroast. I drink that now, with Prelief, although I don't see it makes a difference in my symptoms. I try to have only two cups a day. I don't bother with decaf because I think the acid is more problematic. And decaf doesn't taste as good. As far as Starbucks, espresso has less acid, so espresso drinks bother me less than brewed coffee.

How long did you go without coffee?

                        Re: Morning Coffee Rediscovered

                        Hi Jazz Diva,
I miss coffee and plan to try low acid coffee again. Unfortunately when I quit drinking coffee I substituted it for black tea. I know that black tea does increase my frequency. I have cut down but have not been able to quit caffeine. I am wondering if prelief works and how soon it needs to be taken before drinking or eating acidic foods. Any recommendations on quitting caffeine would be a HUGE help!
                        Thanks
                        Katrina
