I'm one of those obnoxious ex-smokers! I quit smoking something like 20 years ago and I find the smell of any kind of burning tobacco totally sickening. Actually, I don't want anyone to smoke in the same county I'm in! I hate it when I go to a shopping center where there's no smoking allowed, but you have to hold your breath and run through the smokers outside the doors.

Okay, I'm one of the rotten smokers. My hubby quit a little over a year ago and the smell makes him sick too BUT.....he has let me make my own decisions. He knows I'm under as much pressure as I can take right now. When we go out to eat, we sit in the non-smoking section and when I have to have my light-up, I go outside and do it.........

NOW, can we get a law to protect us from perfume

Teri, I absolutely agree! It's awful to step into an elevator with someone who took a bath in perfume.

I think my big problem with smoke is the fact that I will always be addicted to nicotine and even a little bit in second hand smoke is enough to give me those unpleasant feelings again.

        Gentle hugs,

I too am happy that some places are now going smoke free. Yay! It makes it so much easier on people who have nasty allergies such as I do. In San Diego the restaurants and bars are smoke free.

I never smoked and I wont lecture anyone but I hate rude smokers that dont mind blowing it in your face or burning holes in your clothes. Here in DC area they dont allow it in restaurants and everyone is going crazy and picketing the places. I always hear from the chain smokers "Well you were a health nut and look what you got--meaning IC" so it is useless to lecture a smoker, they know the consequences by now.

Cali that is how I feel. I have bad allergies, I hate the perfume and the smoke, I have had a lot of difficulty breathing at places before because of smoke. I am so appreciate of those that smoke that choose to do so outside.
