ok this is gonna be try number 5 and I pray to God it's my last. I picked up my patches tonight and I also had my pain dr up my paxil to help with anxiety during the process of quitting. This time I really feel good about it. I AM going to succeed this time.

    Love and Huggs,

    Hello Kelli:

I am planning to quit on the 6th of February, the 5th is my birthday. I am so fed up with this horrible habit. With the money I save I can buy my self an eye lift to correct the wrinkles smoking has caused.

Wishing you the best kissing grouphug
    God bless, Yvonne

My husband has to be close to 3 months clean from the nasty things and almost 30lbs heavier but we are working on that part now. I just remind him that he is eating AGAIN and he puts the food away. I give him ALL the credit in the world cuz I lasted 2 weeks with fooling myself that I could quit but keep smoking 8 cigs a day...yea, right, who was I trying to fool????

So, hopefully I will be trying again soon. You'd think after having throat polyps removed twice and getting lucky both times that would be enough, huh

I'm with you, ladies! I'm so tired of spending so much $ on cigs..Just think what all the extra money can do! And all the benefits..No smelly clothes, bad breath, waking up feeling like poop..(like today..I'm sure the beer didn't help, lol) And knowing my son won't be around it. Of course, I'm going to try to get my husband to quit as well!

No room for me to talk..I smoke..I started again after I couldnt run and I would be up all night with flares..People dont smoke they smoke at things a wise nurse told me once..they smoke at their kids, they smoke at their husbands they smoke at the lady that ticked them off at work they smoke at......

But dont put yourself down in trying many times to quit....Its like running...it takes alot of practice to become a runner. If I didnt have IC and some one said go run a marathon NOW! I would say I need to practice..It takes alot of times running up a hill before you can run to the very top so dont see it as failure see it as practice!

Your in training to quit smoking...every hour in your life you dont smoke adds up...every cig you dont light is a victory every time you practice you get better at it......Just keep on practicing and you will win....hugs and hope peg angel

Kelli, how are you doing? I quit smoking many years ago and I never even miss it. The only time I think about it is when I see someone hand a cashier almost $4 for a pack of cancer makers.

              Sending an encouraging hug,
              Donna

                HI Donna,

I did quit for a few days, almost a week actually. Then the patch started making a horrible rash on me. It had never done that before and my Dr said to get off of them. I tried to keep going without the patch and I couldn't do it. cussing failing s*cks
