    Girlfriend has IC, looking for support groups!

    Hi all,

    My girlfriend was diagnosed with IC a year ago and still has not met or spoken with anyone else with IC! She could really use a support group. Does anyone know support groups in the central virginia area? In particular we live in Charlottesville, VA.

    You could refer her to this site until she is able to find a support group. Also, there's a link at the home page to help locate support groups --- she might find one there.

      From the home page it doesn't seem like there are any support groups in the area we live in it just shows a bunch of different doctors. What would be the best way to go about trying to start a support group? Every other contact we have found for a support group I think is well outdated and no one has responded.

        Sometimes a urology office is willing to help by notifying their IC patients if someone wants to initiate a support group. And definitely contact Jill at the IC Network for advice in starting one --- you can contact her by email to [email][email protected][/email]
