Elmiron/low sex drive

Yes. I have almost zero sex drive. I have been on it for 2 years. At first I was hesitant to have sex because I was so uncomfortable. Now I feel better but could care less about sex. My partner feels neglected. I'm actually trying to stop it all together because my hair is thinning a lot . I started taking Benadryl pm, biotin am, aloe pills 4x. This is my 3rd day without elmiron.:-0

I have been on Elmiron for 3 years and thought the same thing. But I came to the conclusion that it's my contraceptive. I take OvCon 35 everyday for 3 months and I noticed that the ONE week every 3 months I get my period, I actually have a sex drive! Are you any birth control? I think mine has definately lowered my sex drive. Take care.

I haven't heard of this particular side effect from elmiron. Are you on any other medications or herbal remedies (herbal remedies are also medications)?

It could be just the pain from IC.

Has anyone else noticed a decrease in their sex drive due to the IC, or possibly as a side effect of Elmiron? I don't have pain with intercourse, as so many others do, but lately, I have just completely lost all interest in sex. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience.
