  • A flare from just thinking about intimacy??!

Sorry to be a bit personal but does anyone else get this? Was going to think about intimacy with my husband for the first time in a long time but have been put off by this horrible heavy feeling I have already! My consultant has said that we should try to do the deed as it will give some more idea as to whether it is the pelvic floor or the bladder causing the problems. If I have pain during he says it is more likely to be pelvic floor and if I have pain afterwards he said it is more likely to be the bladder. (Neither sounds very appealing - no wonder why I don't feel like it!) Does this sound like a fair assessment?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Who is your consultant? This theory of, "If I have pain during he says it is more likely to be pelvic floor and if I have pain afterwards he said it is more likely to be the bladder," sounds like the myth used in the Salem witch trials; if a woman can swim, she is a witch and will be killed, but if she cannot, she will drown. Either way, it is the same result; she dies! I have not heard of what your consultant has said, but maybe they are referring to your specific case.
